Dreame Line Productions - Mastering Services

Mastering

MASTERING is the final step of the audio production process.

This is, possibly, one of the least understood and unappreciated elements of the audio process and is often seen as a dark art. The purpose is to create a "master" version of a song/album from which all copies will be produced.

The process of mastering balances the sonic elements of a mix (e.g. EQ, stereo balance and "loudness") to optimize playback across all systems and media formats.

As with the mixing process, we will ask you for some "reference tracks" to give us an idea as to what you want the final result to be comparable to.

If we are mastering your album, we will ensure all the songs "fit" together nicely. This is especially important in terms of levels and "loudness".

We have a wide range of hardware and software tools to employ during the mastering process, giving us a flexibility that can usually only be found in much more expensive mastering studios.

Your tracks should be in the highest quality format available to you in an uncompressed format (e.g. .WAV or .AIFF). We prefer to work with 24bit 96kHz audio files, but can work with up to 128kHz (there is no real benefit of such a high resolution)

When we accept your booking, we will send you details of how to get the files to us and how to make payment (we accept PayPal or bank transfer).

If you have any questions, or need any advice, please do not hesitate to send us an e-mail to info@dreameline.com.

ALBUM MASTERING

We master each song individually then put them all together and master them as an album.

We, generally, consider an "album" to be 8 to 13 songs (e.g. what would fit on a CD), so if you're planning on more than that, we may have to charge more. This would be at a discounted rate of £20 per song. Obviously, there are always exceptions.

Analogue Compressors
Prices From:
